Exterior and Appearance

• A computer-controlled system used to automatically counteract trailer sway. When the computer senses the vehicle has left the driver's intended path, it will automatically apply select brakes to regain control and restore the intended path of the vehicle and trailer.

Some vehicles, mainly trucks and SUV's, feature a Tow/Haul mode that changes the shift pattern (or locks out the overdrive gear) to reduce sudden upshifts and downshifts when towing or hauling heavy loads.

Safety and Security

• Brake assist senses panic braking from the speed of the brake pedal's travel and applies all available power brake boost.
• Ignition immobilizer is a passive means of security. It consists of a transmitter embedded within the ignition key and a sensor located in the vehicle. These two circuits must be present, and must recognize each other before the vehicle will start.
• When starting from an incline position, the vehicle automatically applies brake force to prevent itself from rolling back.
• Anti-roll control uses gyroscopic sensors to gauge both the roll angle of the vehicle and the rate at which the roll angle is changing. When the system identifies conditions that could lead to vehicle instability and/or rollover, it employs the braking and engine control systems in an attempt to reduce the rate of body roll.
• Child safety locks prevent the rear doors from being opened from the inside.

Technology and Telematics

• Otherwise known as Bluetooth®, this technology allows electronic devices to integrate with the vehicle systems without the need for a physical connection between them.
• The vehicle infotainment system then connects to the smart device via a manufacturer specific app, allowing limited access and control of specific apps located on the smart device.
