1. Great Bend Coffee
If you like to pair your coffee with more than just cake or a cookie, then Great Bend Coffee is the best choice for you. They have a full selection of spectacular food options whether you are in the mood for a sandwich, a slice of pizza, or a full meal. Just be warned, they do close for lunch between 3 pm and 5:30 pm. Plan accordingly!
2. Everything Under the Sun
As the name suggests, this is a family-owned and run establishment, with some delightful little quirks. The coffee shop does double, and triple, duty as a bookstore and gift store. These combine for an absolutely magical atmosphere, whether you are there for the coffee, the books, or simply the people watching. They do not have a very large online presence, so this one is a real well-kept secret waiting to be discovered not far from Larned, this cafe is located in Great Bend, KS.
3. More Than Coffee
More Than Coffee does exactly what it says on the tin. With a well-stocked, and even more well-reviewed, juice and smoothie bar, the most difficult decision you will make here is what to order. Homemade cookies and artisanal sandwiches round out the menu and will probably be rounding out your stomach before you leave! It may be a little outside of town, but it is definitely worth the journey.
4. Edwards Street Brew & Bites
If you fancy pairing your caffeine with a snack or something greasy, then head on down to Edwards Street. Though the coffee offered is standard, the food, service, and ambiance really set this one apart. Hand-cut fries, jumbo shrimp cocktails, and steaks may not be everyone’s preferred pairings with a cup of coffee, but don’t knock it until you’ve tried it!
5. Scraps Coffee
Saving the best for last. Scraps, owned and operated by a husband-and-wife team, combine coffee with a women’s boutique and, wait for it; scrapbooking! This cafe means so much to us with its at-home feel and wonderful service. Our personal favorite here is an extra shot Espresso with heavy whipped cream. Not only do they have amazing coffee, but also an incredible salad bar, don’t be surprised if you find yourself spending the entire day at Scraps. That’s not all, however, as they somehow manage to include dedicated music nights and cultural events throughout the week. The biggest problem with Scraps might actually be finding the determination to leave.
It is easy to find coffee. What is not so easy is finding places that make you want to go back and get coffee there again.
