Powertrain and Mechanical

  • Two camshafts (DOHC), one operating intake valves and the other exhaust valves, are located above each bank of cylinders. The design is very adaptable to multiple intake and exhaust valves.
  • Sequential multi-point fuel injection dedicates separate injector nozzles to deliver fuel directly to the intake port of each cylinder. Each injector nozzle triggers independently of each other in precisely timed pulses corresponding to the opening of intake valves.
  • The single overhead camshaft (SOHC), which opens and closes the intake and exhaust valves, is located over the cylinders, directly operating the valvetrain. This construction is highly efficient, with fewer moving parts than an OHV design. A single overhead camshaft also makes multiple intake and exhaust valves practical.

Safety and Security

  • Front fog lights extend the lighting range beyond the capabilities of many standard headlamp systems.
  • Child safety locks prevent the rear doors from being opened from the inside.
