The 2022 Ford Explorer is available in a total of eight trim levels: Base, XLT, ST-Line, Timberline, Limited, ST, King Ranch, and Platinum. You can also choose from eight exterior colors: Stone Blue, Agate Black, Iconic Silver, Star White, Forged Green, Rapid Red, Carbonized Gray, and Burgundy Velvet.

Engine (Power)
You have three engine choices available in the 2022 Ford Explorer. The standard engine is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged engine with 300 horsepower. If you want added power and capability, choose the turbocharged 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine with 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. A hybrid model is also available, which comes with a 3.3-liter engine for 318 horsepower and 322 pound-feet of torque.
